Oblik: database backups
Version 1. 2014-09-22 CentOS 4.8, PROGRESS Version 9.1D. Created a custom script based on /tools/dbp/db_backup.sh. Options: archives each database to /usr/pro_backup; starts a database if it was running when the backup began; uploads to FTP.
Cron schedule: /var/spool/cron/admin
[backup_oblik_v1] FIXFILE backup_oblik_v1.7z
Version 1 drawbacks: When users are connected to the database, proshut does not disconnect them correctly, so archive integrity is uncertain. Starting it again in the same script also fails, leaving users unable to connect in the morning. The same result was confirmed with OpenEdge Release 10.2A0109 on CentOS release 6.4.
